Hello Everyone!

Are we all geared up and ready for school to begin?  With the beginning of school also comes Cub Scouts!  We are very excited for the upcoming year!

I hope everyone has been able to get your on-line popcorn page up and running.  If not, please visit our Pack 934 website for instructions.  Parents, please understand that this will be our one BIG fundraiser.  We don’t like parents to have to pay for every event, and this is how we cover and/or discount those events as well as their supplies at Rank Advancement.  It also gives the boys a sense of pride and confidence to set a goal and work towards it, while teaching them responsibility and duty.  When you really think about it, this is a HUGE opportunity for each of us to show our dedication and commitment to our sons by allowing them the opportunity to grow.

Our first Cub Scout Den Meeting will be Tuesday, August 30th at Mt Tabor UMC.  That’s next week…wow, how time flies.  Our Pack Open House will be the following Tuesday, September 6th at Burkhead UMC, 5250 Silas Creek Pkwy.  Please park in the back.

A great big “thank you” to all those who responded to the previous email about The Bean Stalk Journey.  We did secure our reservations and will get the discounted price.  It will be $19.00  per person (I told you $20.00) that is a HUGE discount from the $59.00 each that they normally charge.  If you did not sign-up via email or text to the number below, it’s not too late.  Please let me know.  You can view The Beanstalk Journey’s web page by clicking on this link.  The event starts at 2:00 pm.  I will send a detailed email about this event closer to the September 11th date.

The Webelos Camping trip is coming quickly.  It will be at Dan Nicholas State Park September 16th-18th.  This is a free event for the Webelo Dens only.  We encourage parents to let the boys camp with their leaders and give the parents a weekend off.  (Of course, if you feel your Webelo is not ready, please talk to your den leader. We do not want any Webelos to miss out on this awesome opportunity to learn and grow!)  Sign-ups have already started for this event, so you may let me know via text, email, call, or sign-up table next Tuesday.

Parent/Son Camporee sign-ups will begin Tuesday, August 30th.  Details will be coming soon.

As you can see we are starting this Scout season off with a !  Please invite your friends 1st – 5th grade to join us.  Can’t wait to see you all again, Tuesday.
