Hi everyone and welcome back to Pack 934. We are about to kick off our scouting year and I wanted to reach out and introduce myself. My name is Brent Motsinger. I will be the new Cubmaster for Pack 934 this year and I am looking forward to getting to know each and every one of you and your kids this year. My youngest son Sullivan is in the Bear Den and my oldest son Sawyer is in Troop 934 and spent three years with the pack previously. I did not grow up in scouting and was only introduced to it when my oldest became interested. I think that watching his joy and passion grow from all the things that scouting taught him is what inspired me to take a more active role. I am a Battalion Chief with Forsyth County Emergency Services and a paramedic by trade. I also served as a Navy hospital corpsman for 7 years prior to working in EMS. I love the outdoors and the way it brings families together. I am most passionate about being a dad and helping my boys grow up to be kind men who are good stewards of their community. I pride myself in having a servant leadership style and I will be relying quite heavily on the amazing leaders that we have in the pack. I have been impressed with the amazing parent involvement and leader knowledge that is available to us in Pack 934. To be a successful Pack it will take us all working together and giving of our time and energy to the one thing we all hold most important, our children. My contact info is mbmotsinger36@gmail.com and my cell is 843-271-2121. If you have any questions or if I can help in any way please feel free to reach out.
First Day Back
Our first day back to scouting will be our annual back-to-scouting afternoon at Mt. Tabor UMC at 3pm on Saturday, August 26. Please come and enjoy popcorn and a movie while the adults fill out paperwork and see what we have planned for the upcoming scouting year. Do you have a friend interested in scouting? Have them come and meet us! We can’t wait to see you! A link to our online calendar can be found here. If you are new, all emails will be posted to the pack website as well.
Scout Day with the Deacs
This year’s Scout Day at Wake Forest Football is Saturday, September 9 at 11 am. We will have a breakfast tailgate starting at 8 am at the Diet Pepsi Lot at LJVM Coliseum and then will participate in the Deacon Walk to high-five the players as they get off the busses. A patch will be included this year for the first 100 scouts (only scouts, sorry parents!). Tickets are $15, and parking is available for $9. Please buy your tickets EARLY. I will be sharing this information with the rest of the council (packs and troops!) on Thursday.
If you need parking, please pay for it at the same time you do your tickets, if at all possible. Free parking is available at the fairgrounds; you will still be able to come to the tailgate even if you utilize the free parking option.
