Please join us for a great outdoor opportunity for some exercise, sunshine, and fantastic visuals of the Yadkin River, creeks, and old railroad tracks! We will plan to assemble at the parking lot just beyond the “Ben Shoals Access” sign and start on the trail at 2pm.
The hike will conclude at a picnic area where part of the Pack leadership will have already started grilling hamburgers and hotdogs for a post hike cookout.
How about some swag for those scouts attending? The BSA is sponsoring an “April-Go Hiking” promotion, and all scouts attending will receive the patch. https://www.oldhickorycouncil.org/gohiking
Please let us know you are coming by filling out this form and signing up to bring a side item or dessert here.
Items to bring:
Scouts should plan to bring the hiking essentials (water, food, first aid, sun protection, flashlight, rain gear, and a whistle) and attempt to carry them in their own pack. The Pack will also be providing delicious trail mix for all scouts who would like some (Alicia’s specialty)!
