Blue and Gold is scouting’s birthday celebration! Pack 934 celebrates scouting’s birthday with good food and an awards ceremony. We encourage everyone to attend!

Menu:

Your choice of roast chicken, chicken tenders, or pasta with spinach and red sauce (vegetarian option)

Macaroni and Cheese, Rolls, Salad, Tea and Lemonade will be provided with all entrees. Tickets are $10/person until February 18. After the 18th, tickets are $12.

Cake will be provided for dessert

Impound is Friday, February 11 from 5pm to 8pm. Bring your car to the church lobby for weigh-in and impound.

Race Day is Saturday, February 12. For our new families, please come a few minutes prior to your race to get situated.

Schedule: (you do not have to come for the whole derby; you can just show up for your race time!)

2:00pm: Pack Grand Finale (top three racers from each den will compete for the top 3 spots in the pack!)

Good morning! Our monthly leader’s meeting is this evening, so there will be no den meetings. If you are signed up for God and Family, you will still have meetings this evening.

Pinewood Derby is this weekend. We will be figuring out race times this evening and I will send out an email and update the calendar and website with race times. Please keep an eye out!

The Blue and Gold Banquet is Friday, February 25, at 7pm. This banquet is held in honor of scouting’s birthday, and we also take this opportunity to recognize our Webelos who are moving up to the troop, as well as awards from Pinewood Derby. We would love to have as many of our scouts attend as we can. Tickets are $10 ahead of time and $12 at the door. Dinner will be catered; please follow this link to sign up and purchase your tickets!

Good morning scouts!  This is a friendly reminder that if you aren’t attending Council Ski Days tomorrow (February 6), please go to Mt. Tabor UMC to participate in the 11am service.  Scout Sunday is our chance to show the Mt. Tabor church community how much we appreciate them letting us use their facilities and sponsoring us.  Please plan to arrive 15 minutes early to hand out bulletins.  Our scouts will also be in charge of passing out communion cups.

Please come to the church dressed in full Class A’s – pants, shirt, neckerchief, and slide.  A scout is clean and reverent!

This year, Council Ski Days will once again be at Winterplace in West Virginia.  For $80/person, you get:

• Full Day Lift Ticket (open to close)
• Ski rental equipment (boots, poles, skis, helmet)
• Customized 90-minute group lesson (must be at least 8 years old)
• Meal Voucher

Dates are February 6th and March 6th.  Please register at the council website.  Winterplace will have a list of all registrations when you arrive; nothing more is required.

Good evening Scouts!  We had our leaders meeting yesterday, and after much discussion we have decided that it would be prudent to skip the overnight portion of our lock-in due to the rise in Covid numbers.  We will follow the schedule below, and leave the church by 10pm.  This is supposed to be a fun get together – please wear your Class B t-shirt and masks.  If you have NOT picked up your derby car, they will be available for pick up on Friday evening.

Hello scouts and Happy New Year!  Our annual lock-in is scheduled for Friday, January 7, 2022.  Here is some important information since it’s been since 2019 since we’ve been able to hold our lock-in:

5:30pm-7:00pm:  work on requirements/electives as a Den
7:00pm-8:00pm: pizza and gym activities
8:30pm: start movie
10:00pm-ish: lights out
8:00am (Saturday): pack up and leave the church

Spending the night is NOT required for our lock-in.  Please feel free to leave before or after the movie.  If you plan on spending the night, a cot or air mattress will make your evening much more enjoyable.
