Pinewood Derby – CUT DAY TOMORROW (SATURDAY)
Alicia Lemar and Andy Jones will be at the Old Hickory Council building on Saturday, January 28, from noon to 5 to cut your pinewood derby cars.  The council office is located at 6600 Silas Creek Parkway.  We will be cutting cars at the shelter; you can only reach it by walking, so park your car in the lot and then head back up toward the road.  We will have templates that your scout can choose from.  ADULTS WILL BE THE ONLY PEOPLE ALLOWED TO CUT CARS.  We  still need volunteers to help cut, and if anyone has a scroll saw, we would really appreciate borrowing it (even if you can’t stay the whole time).  If you are interested in volunteering, please text Alicia at 812-604-8560.

Scouting for Food
Our annual Scouting for Food program starts on February 4th and runs through February 11.  Bags will be available at tonight’s den meeting; please do not distribute them to your neighbors until Saturday, February 4.  Scouts should deliver donation bags to their neighbors; hanging bags in or on mailboxes is prohibited.   All food donated should be brought to the Pinewood Derby on Saturday, February 11.

Our pinewood derby is just around the corner!  Here are the rules for PWD – please pay special attention to them!  This year, we will be hosting a pinewood derby cut day for those of you that don’t have the fancy tools to cut your car.  I’m looking for volunteers with scroll saws, etc., willing to meet on Saturday, January 28 at Old Hickory Council and help cut cars.  If you are interested in volunteering, please fill out this form.  Currently, we only have 2 volunteers.  Please help!

Pack Lock-in
Our annual pack lock-in is tonight!  Please show up between 5:30pm and 5:45pm so that we can get started right at 6pm.  We will work on belt loops/pins as dens and then come together for games, pizza, and a movie.  You are welcome to spend the night, but it is not required.  If you are planning on spending the night, please bring an air mattress and sleeping bag/blankets; we will be sleeping in the gym.  Parents/caregivers: this is NOT a drop off event.  You must stay with your child, just like during a regular den meeting.  If you have any questions, please send Alicia a text: 812-604-8560

God & Me
God and Me is designed for children in 1st-3rd grades (Tigers thru Bears, but all Scouts are welcome!). Its objectives are to help young people grow in their understanding of faith, to help young people see how other people have translated belief into action and to provide young people with the opportunity for service to others.  Pack 934 will kick off this program on Tuesday, January 10th at 6pm for six consecutive weeks.  All interested scouts should fill out this form ASAP so the Pack can determine the number of workbooks to purchase.

Our annual pack lock-in is scheduled for Friday, January 6 at 5:30pm.  We will work on belt loops/pins as dens and then come together for games, pizza, and a movie.  You are welcome to spend the night, but it is not required.  If you are planning on spending the night, please bring an air mattress and sleeping bag/blankets.  We will be sleeping in they gym.  Please fill out this form if you are planning on coming, so that we can order pizza.  We will send one final update this evening after our Pack Committee Meeting.

Our annual Rockin Jump party is on tonight, December 6, at 7 pm.  Please do us a favor and signup here so Rockin Jump can have an idea of how many to expect.  This event is free for scouts, and siblings can jump for only $10.  To make check-in go quicker, please fill out your waiver here.  We will have cake available throughout the party; if you do not want to leave with a sugared-up child, you’ll be able to get your cake in our party room any time during our jumping slot.  Derby Cars and popcorn prizes will be distributed on your way home.  See you tonight!
