Apologies for multiple notifications today!  Please remember to send your popcorn prize selection to your popcorn lieutenant kernel by Sunday, November 7.  The prizes are listed on your take-home order sheet.  Please pick the number that corresponds to the prize your scout would like (it has to be within their sales number, or an item in a lower prize category), and send your selection, along with the scout’s full name, in an email to your kernel.

Good morning scouts!  A friendly reminder on this cold morning that tomorrow, November 6, is the annual Veteran’s Day Parade downtown.  Please meet at Foothills Brewery at 8:30am for a 9am parade start.  The parade organizer has asked us to carry the large 40’ x 20’ American and POW flags this year.  If we can get enough scouts to attend, we can do it!

Please remember that this is a Class A event.  You MUST wear your full class A uniform – Lions are excluded from his requirement.

For those of you watching your scout and not marching, the parade will end at Corpening Plaza.  Dress warm – the temps are in the mid-30s tomorrow morning.

Our last month of den meetings for 2021 starts tonight!  Your den leader should have reached out for your den’s start time and meeting place.  Please reach out if you have not yet heard from them.  Most dens will meet this evening in the Cub Scout rooms at 7pm.

New T-Shirts
Thanks to Mr. Wren of the Webelos den, we’ve been able to replenish our stock of Class B t-shirts.  These are our blue Pack 934 shirts.  We have MANY kid sizes, YS – YXL!  We’ve also ordered more adult sizes.  These shirts cost $10 and are an additional fundraiser for us.  

Veterans Day Parade
Our pack will be participating in the annual Veterans Day Parade.  This year we have been asked to participate in the FRONT of the parade!  If you are planning on attending, please meet at Foothills Brewery at 8:30am on Saturday morning, for a parade start time of 9:00am.  THIS IS A CLASS A EVENT.  Please wear your ENTIRE Class A uniform.  Sign ups are encouraged here: Veteran’s Day Parade Sign Up

Cub Adventure Weekend
Today is the last day to sign up and pay for Cub Adventure Weekend.  When you pay, please indicate the names of all attendees and their shirt sizes.  Remember – if your scout just joined this year (after July 1), that scout can attend for free.  Only pay for adults and siblings attending.  If you are having financial difficulty, please email Alicia.  We want everyone to be able to participate in scouting!

This year we are collecting $5 per person/$20 maximum per family to cover the cost of food.  We will collect this money closer to camp time.  Our goal is to limit food waste; if you are planning on attending Cub Adventure Weekend, please plan to stay through dinner on Saturday.  

Our first pack meeting of 2021 is tonight at 7pm in the Alspaugh Center at Mt. Tabor UMC.  ALL SCOUTS MEET AT THE SAME TIME. Please show up a few minutes early to get seated so we can have a prompt 7pm start.  This is a Class A event.  Please do your best to wear your uniform shirt, belt, neckerchief, and slide.  

This is our first pack meeting since March 2020.  Please be patient as we re-start this important event in your child’s scouting experience.  We will do our best to social distance in the Alspaugh Center.  For our new families – enter the church through the front double doors of the church – not the scout rooms.  The Alspaugh Center is near the sanctuary – we will direct you to the correct room.  Scouts sit together with their dens in the front of the center.  Parents, please find a seat in the back of the Alspaugh Center.  Please do not hesitate to contact me (Alicia) if you have any questions about this evening.

Den meetings continue tonight at 7pm at Mt. Tabor UMC.  Because of the rain, please plan to meet indoors.  Church policy requires that EVERYONE wear a mask when indoors.

To get to the scout rooms, please follow the ramp on the right side of the church down to the basement doors.  Go through the double doors under the stairs and we will direct you to your room.

Exceptions:

• Webelos II will meet in Alspaugh at 7pm
• Bears will meet in the gym at 6:45pm

Greensboro Science Center
Today is the LAST day to sign up for our Greensboro Science Center trip.  We will meet at GSC at 8:45am sharp.  Please come and find Alicia Lemar outside of ticket sales so that we can do a head count.  If you are going to be late or your plans have changed, please text Alicia at 812-604-8560.  Please pay for your tickets at this link.
