2024 POPCORN SHOW & SELL LOCATION SPONSORS NEEDED

Hey Pack 934 Parents & Leaders!

We need your help to make our Show & Sell weekends a big success!  This is your chance to be a Show & Sell Location Sponsor—it’s a fun way to support the pack and ensure everything runs smoothly.

Here’s the deal: Just pick a day and location where you can be the main point of contact. You’ll be responsible for grabbing the popcorn and equipment from the Rogers’ house, setting everything up at the location, and offering support throughout the day. Then, at the end of the shift, you’ll pack it all up and return it to the Rogers’.

Don’t worry—full instructions for pickup and drop-off will be sent to you, so you’ll have everything you need.

Thanks so much for stepping up and helping us make these weekends awesome! We couldn’t do it without you!

Families: during popcorn selling season, please plan to be in the gym at 6:50pm for an important popcorn pep rally. Each week we will have prizes for the top sellers and we will ONLY give them out to the scouts in attendance ON TIME!

Our monthly parent committee meeting is this evening. Scouts will resume next Tuesday, September 10, at 6:50pm. Note: today is the LAST day to sign up for football.

Cub Scout Day with Wake Forest Football

Join us Saturday, September 7 at 4pm for a tailgate before the Wake Forest Football game against Virginia. Kick off is at 7pm and we will participate in the Deacon Walk at 5pm. Tickets MUST be purchased in advance at this link. Last day to buy your tickets is Friday, August 30. Tickets are $14 each and parking is $10. A signup will be sent out after final ticket sales for food/drinks for the tailgate. This is a Class A event. Wake Forest Athletics is providing us with patches again this year!

If you have season tickets but need parking OR want to attend the tailgate, please email me for the discount code. This link serves as our signup, so this will help me keep track of who is planning on coming to the tailgate.

Good morning scouts! Tonight is our first den meeting of Fall 2024. This year we will be starting our meetings at 6:50pm to try and accommodate work schedules and bedtime schedules. For our new families, please enter the scout rooms through the bottom of the church – it’s to the right of the sanctuary. (Red circled pin on the attached map). Please park in the main parking lot, NOT by the scout entrance.

Please send your scout in full Class As to their den meetings. We are trying to help our scouts with discipline and routine, and making sure they are dressed appropriately will help us with this goal. Please plan to get your Class As no later than our first September meeting. There will be awards for scouts that come fully prepared!

Join us for our welcome back event on Saturday, August 10 from 3pm to 5pm.  We will have a modified bear carnival event and treats, while your parents talk with the den leaders and turn in any paperwork.  Please bring a friend if you’d like!  Our upcoming calendar is available here.

We heard your requests and are starting a pack uniform closet. Here is how you can help! We need you to donate any uniform parts and pieces your scouts have outgrown. 

Thanks for supporting this effort. We would love to be able to make pack uniforms more sustainable and less costly for all scouts.

Join us for an exciting evening of baseball at Scout Night with the Dash, next Friday, July 19th!  Don’t miss the opportunity to cheer on the Dash while enjoying a special night dedicated to local scouts. Evening tickets are available in two pricing tiers-

·        $11 includes the game

·        $17 includes the game, food (a hot dog, chips and soda voucher), a commemorative patch, fireworks, and an evening movie while camping out on the field!*

*Note:  Tents cannot be spiked into the ground!

Additional family members are welcome to attend either option at the same scout rate!

This year we have a link to purchase digital tickets directly from the Dash!  Unfortunately, it only allows for the purchase of the full $17 event option, so if you wish to purchase the $11 ticket option you will need to contact our Dash representative, Joshua Eberhard at 336.714.6885.

There are four seating sections from which to choose.  We are recommending choosing Section 115 which is on the 3^rd base line which will be closer to the event food location and the 7pm sun will be to your back.  🙂

The link will expire at 5pm on Thursday, 7/18 at 5pm.  Tickets will be available for both the $11 and $17 option on game day at the ballpark.

Joshua Eberhard will be at the main gate with food voucher and patch pickup for those who purchased at the $17 event level.
